A. Up to what thickness stainless steel will 1KW weld? 1.5KW? 2KW?

B. Up to what thickness aluminum will 1KW weld?

1.5KW? 2KW?

C. Up to what thickness carbon steel will 1KW weld? 1.5KW? 2KW?

(1kW: 0.5-1mm Brass & copper, 1.5Kw: 0.5-2mm Brass & copper, 2Kw: 0.5-3mm Brass & copper)

All of our sheet metal welding is less than 4MM thick.

3) what are all the considerations in choosing the KW model we need other than the thicknesses of metal we weld?

(Let’s say, 1kW can handle it, 1.5kW will be faster)

4) I haven’t found any videos showing laser welding for schedule 40 pipe. Please ask them if they ever do it.

(Sch40 belongs to carbon steel, no problem with welding machine. Pipe welding will with the aid of the rotation axis normally, as the videos I sent before. Or you can choose a automatic platform welding machine, attached a video for you. )

5) ask the manufacturers to send you any videos they have of their machine working.

6) ask them to confirm the operating controls are in English (not only Chinese).

7) do I need different guns for stainless versus carbon steel? Or different tips? Or both? We need to purchase a machine with accessories for stainless, aluminum, and carbon steel and with enough replacement tips for a year. So please ask them to revise their quote for that.

(Gun is the same, wire used for your wire feeder depends on what you need to weld. About the consumables, it also attached in the quotation pdf file. Tips depends on the angle you need, protective lens will be the frequent consumables, 3-7 days / PC.

So, for a year. 12*tips, 50-80 protective lens is ok)

8) Include the 20M cable for EACH option with the quote and advise of the 20M extension cable is same for aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel or is it 3 different cables?

(All the same)

9) what is the max water temperature for the water cooling? Is 27C ok? Do The machines have a chiller inside? I’m not clear on that.

(The water chiller is standard configuration, not worry)

10) Our fabrication facility has both 220V 3phase and 460V 3 phase. Our construction sites mostly have 220V 3phase, only sometimes have 460V. Our traditional welding machines (not laser) are able to switch between different power sources. It would be great if this machine could also do that. Please ask them if they have such an option.

(Our machine power supply as below, a key point, is your voltage frequency 60Hz? It will need to custom the water chiller.)
