In 1909, the American Socialists designated February 28 as National Women's Day; in 1910, more than 100 women representatives from 17 countries headed by Clara Zetkin at the Copenhagen Conference of the Second International planned the establishment of International Women's Day. , but no exact date was set; on March 19, 1911, more than a million women in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland rallied to celebrate International Women's Day; on the last Sunday in February 1913, Russian women marched with way to celebrate their International Women's Day; March 8, 1914, women in many European countries held anti-war demonstrations; March 8, 1917 (February 23, Russian calendar), to commemorate the nearly 200 killed in World War I.
