Question:Will this fit well over a stock that has a little cheek piece that does not extend over the top of the stock? The gun is a Thompson Center Compass.

Answer:I put this on a straight stocked rifle . It fit tight,so I can't say you won't have an issue. It's a nice product and it fit my rifle good . Your stock not sure . Good luck.

Question:will it fit on a m1a with scope?

Answer:It fits my M1A with the heavy walnut stock perfectly. It stays in place and with the factory scope mount the line of sight, at least for me, lines up perfectly with a scope with 50mm objective lens.

Question:how much rise does it add to the comb?

Answer:It was about 1-2". It was too high for the rifle and set up I had going so I just cut it and took the padding that rises it out. Looks quite better now I think. They should just make it with out the cheek rise. Overall is pretty nice. Although one button does sort of ride against a round rather tightly I should say.

Question:Will this hold 45-70 shells

Answer:The 45-70 shells are VERY tight in it. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m currently shopping for a different one because they get so tight that I have had to remove it from the rifle in order to pull the rounds free.

Question:Will this scratch the stock at all?

Answer:The inside is lined and none of the metal parts make contact with the stock

Question:Is there a model without the logos and "slogan"? Because I don't put sponsor logos and slogans on my rifle if they're not sponsoring me.

Answer:Kind of a turn-off for me as well. I don't mind branding, but it needs to be more subtle than that. I don't want my rifle to be a billboard. The logo on the buttons is perfect.

Question:Have you tried wetting the leather and placing a spent cartridge to size the leather?

Answer:I used saddle soap... And I used a spent cartridge to stretch out the leather... Worked out great...
